Ecodriving, our driver behaviour scoring application for Wialon, is now released and listed on the Wialon Marketplace. It scores every vehicle and every driver in your fleet from 0 to 100 using the eco-driving violations your Wialon account already records — harsh acceleration, harsh braking, sharp cornering, speeding — and keeps the individual events behind each score in a table and on a map. There is no separate account to create and no second copy of your data: the app reads live from the Wialon Remote API, under your own criteria and your own names for them.
Scores from your own Wialon criteria
Ecodriving does not define its own scoring rules. It reads the criteria already configured on your units — harsh acceleration, harsh braking, sharp turns, speeding, sensor violations, harsh driving and excessive idling — with the thresholds and penalty weights your organisation has already agreed in Wialon. Rename a criterion in Wialon and the column in the report renames itself. A unit with no criteria configured is skipped rather than shown as a perfect 100, so the ranking never rewards a vehicle for simply not being measured.
How the score is calculated
Each violation is multiplied by the penalty weight of its criterion, the weighted violations are summed, and the total is divided by how much the unit drove. The result is expressed out of 100, where 100 means no weighted violations in the period.
Dividing by exposure matters: ranking on raw violation counts penalises whoever drives most. And because distance is the wrong yardstick for city work and machinery, the exposure metric is a setting — per kilometre, or per unit of driving time. The penalty multiplier and the score bands (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor) are settings too: if every vehicle lands in one band, lower the multiplier and the scores spread out without changing the ranking.
Three reports, one model
- Unit Score — one row per vehicle: trips, distance, duration, a column per criterion, and the score as a colour-banded badge. Each criterion cell shows the count, the raw amount and the weighted value applied.
- Driver Score — the same report grouped by driver, using the driver bound to the unit at the time of the event, not at the time of the report.
- Violations — every event with start, end, unit, driver, criterion, duration, maximum speed, distance and weight, filterable by driver, type and minimum value. The table is virtualised, so a full month of fleet-wide events scrolls without slowing down.
Both rankings come from the same model, so the vehicle view and the driver view always agree with each other.
Every score opens into the events behind it
A score nobody can explain gets ignored — drivers dispute numbers. In Ecodriving, every score opens into the weighted violations that produced it, and every violation opens into its start point, end point, duration and maximum speed. On the map, events are drawn as pie-chart clusters split by criterion, with a heatmap tracing the start-to-end path of each event and per-event focus with A and B markers. When you sit down with a driver, you are not defending a number — you are looking at the trips together.
Exports and languages
What is on screen exports as it is: Excel, CSV and PDF, respecting the active filters, unit selection and date range. The Excel output includes start and end coordinates for every event, so the data feeds driver reviews and downstream analysis directly. The interface is available in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Swedish.
Getting started
There is no Ecodriving account. Two ways in:
- Sign in with Wialon — open ecodriving.theassettrack.com, choose your Wialon server and sign in through Wialon’s own login page.
- Register it in the Apps configurator — in Wialon CMS Manager, create a new application pointing at the same URL with the advanced URL parameters enabled, and Ecodriving opens from inside Wialon with the session already established.
Either way, access is revocable from Wialon at any time, no password is stored, and everything is read live — there is no second copy of the fleet.
White-label for Wialon partners
Ecodriving ships white-label: partners deploy it under their own brand and their own domain, and the customer sees your product. The criteria and weights stay in the customer’s Wialon account, so the policy being applied is theirs; the commercial relationship and the billing are yours; the scoring model, the map layer and the export pipeline are maintained on our side.
